Stirlingshire
Pour-over on Friars Street.
Good coffee here goes with a climb to the castle or a day in the hills. On Friars Street in Stirling, the café of a Kinross roaster makes pour-over and flat whites, with excellent cakes on the counter. Up on Bow Street, an old stone coffee house is a warm stop on the way to the castle. Callander's family coffee shop pours Scottish-roasted coffee, with a secret garden behind it for fine days. In Luss, a coffee shop in the old coach house has served soups and baking since 1997, on tartan crockery. Call in on Bow Street before the castle, and in Callander after a day on Ben Ledi.
