Lauriston Castle in Edinburgh celebrates 100 years as a public estate in 2026, marking the centenary of its gift to the nation by Mr and Mrs Reid in 1926.

A year-long programme of events has been launched, including 1920s-themed activities, guided tours, creative workshops, seasonal festivals, and costumed performances.

Highlights include the return of original murder mystery plays by Edinburgh Living History and a 1920s-inspired scavenger hunt across the castle grounds.
