A fine-art florist and flower school in the farm steadings of the Belladrum estate near Beauly, with workshops, a shop and a café among the flowers.

Welcome

In the old farm steadings of the Belladrum estate, in the gentle country south of Beauly, a florist has made a home among the flowers.

Julia Kirk founded Wild Gorse Studio in 2015, bringing together a background in art and traditional floristry, and her arrangements are wild and seasonal, built from foraged and locally grown plants.

Teaching has always been at the heart of it. The Highland Flower School runs workshops and masterclasses, from a relaxed class in hand-tied bouquets to professional courses, and welcomes guest tutors through the year.

The studio has spread out through the steadings, and there is now a shop and a café in the Cart Shed, open from Wednesday to Sunday. Come for a coffee among the blooms, leave with an armful of flowers, or book a place on a workshop and learn to make them yourself.
