From Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September 2025, the Stranraer Oyster Festival marks the start of Loch Ryan’s native oyster season. Opening at 6 pm on the Friday and running through to midnight, the festival then shifts to a full programme from Saturday 11 am until midnight, and wraps up on Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. Expect celebrity chef demonstrations, oyster-shucking championships, artisan stalls, lively music tents, and family entertainment. Friday evening brings the spotlight to featured guests, Saturday blends food, talks, and music into late-night sets, and Sunday eases to a close at early evening.
