The Marine Hotel
A harbourside bar serving the beer of its own brewery, six°north, and some of the best from Belgium.
The Marine Hotel stands on Stonehaven's harbour front, and for anyone who cares about beer it is the place to drink in town.
It belongs to the six°north family of brewers, and the bar pours their own beer alongside some of the finest from around the UK, Belgium and further afield. It has been named Scotland's pub of the year by CAMRA, the real ale campaign.
The bar is small, warm and busy, the sort of room where locals and visitors end up at the same table, and there is a dram for anyone who would rather have whisky. Sit inside by the fire in winter or outside by the harbour in summer.
There is a restaurant and a run of guest rooms upstairs with views straight over the harbour, and it takes weddings and parties too. It is very much part of the town, a community-minded place as much as a hotel. Stonehaven's other harbour bars are a few steps away.
