Dumfries and Galloway
Joshua Miles Art Studio
Welcome
Kirkcudbright has been known as the artists' town since the Glasgow Boys came down more than a century ago, and it's still a lovely place to find a painter at work.
Joshua Miles paints Galloway in oils with a loaded brush: the coast, the hills and the light on the Solway. His studio and gallery is on Castle Street, and you'll usually find him at the easel. There are prints and cards as well as originals. Opening hours depend on the painting, so try the door or look online before you go. MacLellan's Castle is just across the road, which makes it easy to see both in one visit.
