Introduction

A stone statue to one of Edinburgh’s canine heroes, Greyfriars Bobby celebrates the Skye Terrier who guarded his owner’s grave in the city for 14 years. The story of his life is told across the country, and the statue and the further graves of Bobby and his owner John are also popular tourist attractions and have featured in films, TV shows, theatre and novels.
