Welcome

Falls is the restaurant of chef Orry Shand, at the Bridge of Feugh on the edge of Banchory, where the Water of Feugh pours over the rocks on its way to the Dee.

There is no menu on the night. Guests come trusting the kitchen, and are served a seasonal tasting menu of twelve to fifteen servings built from the best Scottish produce, changing with what the season and the suppliers bring. Dinner is from Wednesday to Saturday, in two sittings at 5.45pm and 8pm, and each sitting starts together, so arriving on time matters. Allow three to four hours.

The evening does not have to end with the last plate. Guests are welcome to stay on for a drink, and when the weather allows, the terrace outside, with its firepits and its view of the river, is the favourite place to finish. The kitchen cannot cater for vegan diets or some allergies, so read the notes before booking.
