Rhindbuckie Walk
Introduction
The Rhindbuckie Walk begins at the Bridge of Feugh, best known for its picturesque views of the River Dee’s migrating salmon. Taking visitors through the twisting trees of Rhindbuckie Woods, the route is gentle for the majority of its eight-and-a-half-mile length. Weather depending, it is possible to see Tilquhillie Castle during the walk, which was once part of the Arbroath Abbey’s vast landholdings.
Also of note on the route are the many Standing Stones within the vicinity. The definitive purpose of these prehistoric carved structures is unclear, but they make for an exciting stop-off during the walk.
