A tearoom and gallery in the cellars of a 17th-century cottage on Crail's Shoregate, with a courtyard looking over the Firth of Forth to the Isle of May.

Welcome

The tearoom at Crail Harbour Gallery is on Shoregate, the medieval street that runs down to Crail's little harbour, in the cellars of a 17th-century fisherman's cottage.

Inside there are flagstone floors, old stone walls and beams, with paintings by the Fife artist DS Mackie on the walls and cards and gifts to browse.

Outside, a sheltered courtyard looks straight out over the Firth of Forth to the Isle of May. Every hot drink comes with a piece of homemade Scottish tablet. For lunch there are toasted paninis, hot smoked salmon or marinated herring with dill, and warm scones and homemade cakes to finish. It's open every day and they don't take bookings, so just turn up and find a seat in the sun. There's free street parking near the harbour.
