Call
Welcome

There's something lovely about a neighbourhood bakery that opens for just a few hours a week and makes every one of them count, and Beefcake Cafe in Anniesland is exactly that.

It sits on Crow Road in the north-west of Glasgow, a short walk from Anniesland station, and it bakes its own sourdough and laminated pastry, from croissants to danishes that change from week to week. The Good Food Guide named it one of Britain's best bakeries for 2026. Come for breakfast or lunch and you'll find filled baps, loaded sourdough toasts and good coffee, with plenty for vegetarians too. The week's menu goes up on its Facebook page by Wednesday, and the doors open from Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 2pm. There are tables outside as well as in, and children and dogs are both welcome. Come early for the widest choice of bakes, and take a loaf home for later.
