Seasonal tasting menus in Kelvinside from Modou Diagne, kitchen porter here in 2014 and owner since 2020: ten courses for £50, and the no-menu Trust nights.
On Cleveden Road in Kelvinside, a small restaurant serves tasting menus that change with the seasons, cooked by the chef whose name is on the door.
Modou Diagne, from Senegal by way of Spain, was taken on as kitchen porter here in 2014, when it was 111 by Nico, rose to head chef, and in 2020 took the restaurant over from Nico Simeone as 111 by Modou.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the menu runs to ten courses for £50, with matching wine for £30 more; this autumn it moves through Jerusalem artichoke with chestnut, potato terrine with black truffle, coley with pickled mussels and lamb belly with pesto, to baked brie and a Victoria plum sorbet. There is a five-course lunch on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Thursdays and Sundays the Trust menus, with no menu at all: you simply say how many courses and leave the rest to Modou. Dietary needs are met; note them when booking.

The five-course lunch is £25 on Friday and Saturday from noon to 3pm. Trust by Modou is five courses for £25 on Sundays and ten for £30 on Thursdays. Book online, where cancellations show first.
