Inside Links House at Royal Dornoch.

Links House was a Free Church of Scotland manse, built in 1843, and it's now a hotel of fifteen rooms less than a hundred yards from the first tee at Royal Dornoch Golf Club, an hour north of Inverness. Each bedroom is named after one of Scotland's great salmon rivers, with Hypnos beds, tartan, antiques and good paintings.

Links House in Dornoch is starting night-time wildlife safaris with thermal cameras.

Local guide Kurt Connell drives guests into Sutherland after dark to look for pine martens, deer, foxes and badgers through a 360-degree thermal camera, without leaving the vehicle. It runs from the end of September to April, from £275 a person.
