Book Stormhouse North

Glenstriven House looks over Loch Striven from a thousand acres of garden and woodland in Cowal, among rhododendrons, oak, beech, rowan and Scots pine. It's let whole, with seven bedrooms full of William Morris papers, vintage prints and loch views, several with baths by the window. There's a big living room with a quiet study, a dining room for fifteen, a Neptune kitchen with a Jøtul stove, a games room with a billiards table and a playroom for children.

Book The Drury

Stormhouse North stands high above Loch Laich in Appin, a house for two with Castle Stalker below and the islands and mountains of Mull beyond. It was designed by an architect around the view: the front is glass, and oak floors and calm furniture leave the landscape to do the work. There's a Fendi Casa sofa, a German kitchen, a wet room with a rainfall shower and Sonos, and a bedroom with a super-king bed and a window onto the castle.
