Woodside Lodge on Loch Goil
A cottage for six in the pine woods and a cabin for two on the water, on a private estate at the edge of Loch Goil.
Two of the places to stay on Iain Hopkins' twelve-acre estate on Loch Goil, 75 minutes from Glasgow.
Woodside Lodge is a private estate of twelve acres of mature woodland on the edge of Loch Goil, on the west coast in Argyll. For over 25 years its main lodge was a five-star venue, and it's now a family home, with Iain Hopkins as host. Around it are the smaller places to stay. Red Squirrel Cottage is newly renovated among the pines, with three bedrooms, original wood and exposed brick, and a fire pit on the terrace. Seal Cabin is a cabin for two on the edge of the loch, with a log burner and a deck where you can watch the seals. It has been part of the estate since 1860.
