Welcome

At the head of Loch Fyne, beside the A83, a pale blue timber building holds the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, restaurant and deli.

This is where Loch Fyne Oysters began in 1978, when local landowner Johnny Noble and marine biologist Andy Lane started farming oysters in the loch and selling them from a shed by the road.

The business has grown to supply seafood across the world, but the restaurant here keeps the focus close to home: oysters from the loch, smoked salmon from its own smokehouse, mussels, langoustines and other shellfish, served simply. The deli next door sells fresh and smoked fish, oysters and shellfish, along with local foods and drink, so you can take a feast away with you.

The deli opens every day, and the restaurant opens from Thursday to Monday for breakfast and lunch, closing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It sits on the road to Inveraray and Kintyre.
