Introduction
Overlooking the calm waters of Loch Fyne, Inverary is a former Royal Burgh and ancestral home to the Duke of Argyll. A popular tourist town, it underwent extensive rebuilding in the 18th century and much of the town centre is now preserved and considered for protection thanks to its architectural significance.
