Strachur Smiddy Museum and Crafts
Introduction
Step back in time as you walk through the door of the 18th century Strachur Smiddy. With over 200 years of life, work and history inside the building, the smiddy is almost alive with stories. Still working and little changed, the furnace burns most weekends with local and very knowledgeable blacksmiths tending to the forge offering a range of candlesticks, fire-pokers and horseshoes at the adjoining craft shop.
