Inside Rowan Cottage.

Rowan Cottage is a cosy open-plan cottage for two on the Glen Tanar Estate near Aboyne, on Royal Deeside. It was once a bothy for farm workers, with a chicken coop at one end. The restoration used natural materials and kept the old ceiling beams and the granite fireplace, where a wood-burning stove now sits with all the logs you need. There's a super-king bed, a shower room, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a washer-dryer, and glazed doors from the living room onto a gravel patio.
