Killiehuntly and Glenfeshie
WildLand's farmhouse hotel and four cottages at Killiehuntly and in Glenfeshie, for two to ten, on land being restored to wild forest.
A farmhouse hotel and stone cottages on two Cairngorms estates, where old pine forest is being brought back.
Anne and Anders Holch Povlsen have made their home at Glenfeshie, and their company, WildLand, looks after estates across the Highlands with a 200-year plan to restore them to their natural state. In the Cairngorms you can stay on two of them. At Killiehuntly, near Kingussie, there's the 1850 farmhouse, now a small hotel with suppers round one table, its Hayloft room in the old steadings, a bothy in the courtyard and Geordie's Cottage in a quiet corner. In Glenfeshie, Kennels Cottage sits in ancient woodland and Coire Domhain on the banks of the river. All of them share a calm Scandinavian style, with fires, good linen and larders stocked to start you off, and dogs are welcome in all the cottages.
We wish to restore our parts of the Highlands to their former magnificent natural state.
