Welcome

On Keptie Street in Arbroath, behind a smart navy corner front, the Port Kitchen opened in November 2025, run by Jess and Darren Spink, the family behind Tailend in St Andrews.

It is part restaurant, part delicatessen, with a crafts and gift shop, Studio 83, alongside.

By day it serves breakfasts and brunch; later the menu turns to tapas, hot and cold, from croquettes and fritters to mussels and seafood, with a well-chosen list of wines and beer on draft from 71 Brewing in Dundee. Cheesecake is a favourite to finish, and the deli counter sells things to take home.

The Port Kitchen opens every day from breakfast, staying open into the evening later in the week. It is a short walk up from the abbey and the High Street.
