St Fillan’s Cave

Believed to be a kind of magical place, the cave was visited often by St Fillan, an Irish missionary who helped to bring Christianity to the residents of Fife in the 8th century. It’s believed he lived in the cave for some time, writing sermons by the light of his famous, luminous arm.
