Welcome

On the Square in the middle of Cullen, behind a pale green corner shopfront with curved windows, the Rockpool is one of the town's best loved places to eat.

It is a relaxed, family-friendly cafe and restaurant, and in the home of Cullen skink it is one of the places to try the famous smoked haddock soup.

The skink comes in a bowl with good bread for dipping, and there are lunches, freshly made coffee and a counter of cakes and scones to follow. It is popular, and at lunchtime the tables can fill up.

The Rockpool opens from ten until four, Wednesday to Sunday. It sits a few steps from the Heritage Centre and a short walk from the beach, the harbour and the viaducts, so it fits neatly into a day in Cullen.
