Mesa

A brunch café on Duke Street in Dennistoun since 2019, for big stacks of pancakes, eggs, sandwiches and good coffee, open every day.

Call
Welcome

Mesa is a bright little brunch café on Duke Street in Dennistoun, and one of the east end's favourite places to start the day.

It has been cooking here since 2019, and the plates are generous. The pancakes come in tall, fluffy stacks, the halloumi and the chicken and bacon sandwiches come in big portions, and there are eggs for brunch, with good coffee alongside. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are all on the menu, and vegetarians are well looked after. It's a small room, with a few seats out on the pavement when the sun comes out, and dogs are welcome. Mesa opens every day from 9am to 4pm, so it's an easy one to fit in before a walk up to the Necropolis and the cathedral, or after a wander round the Barras at the weekend. It takes bookings, and Duke Street station is only a few minutes away on foot.
