Aberdeen
Cathedral Walk
Welcome
Cathedral Walk is the path through Seaton Park in Old Aberdeen to St Machar's Cathedral, and it is the best way to arrive at it.
The park runs down to the River Don, with wide lawns, old trees and a formal garden, and the walk brings you up through them to the twin towers of the cathedral appearing above the wall. Students use it, so there is usually someone about, and it's flat enough for a pram. Go on from the cathedral into the Chanonry and the cobbled High Street of Old Aberdeen, which is a village inside the city. Free, always open, and dogs are fine on a lead.
