Welcome

Amy Britton started Britton Scotland in 2014, making accessories in Harris Tweed: card purses, coin purses, cosmetic bags and laptop covers.

They’re designed and handmade in Scotland, and a good deal of thought goes into what they’re made of. The zips are recycled, the labels were once plastic bottles, and there’s a whole range made from upcycled materials.

For eleven years the business sold online and to other shops. Then, in June 2025, Amy opened a shop of her own at 7 High Street in Dornoch, the town where it all began.

Her own range shares the shelves with other Scottish makers, among them Skyeskyns and Ocean Plastic Pots. You can also pick up a coffee to take away, served in a cup you bring back. The shop is in the middle of Dornoch, a short walk from the cathedral, and it’s open every day.
