Surrounded by pinewoods and sand dunes, this large tidal basin is located just between Dornoch and Golspie. Visit in the spring and summer and you’ll find plenty of local foliage – especially orchids – growing in the nearby land, as well as catching a glimpse of the local bird, otter and seal populations that frequent the loch.
