Log Cabins in Scotland

In a log cabin among the trees, with a stove going, there is nothing much to do but watch the light change. These are our favourite cabins.

There's a particular kind of calm that comes with a log cabin. Timber walls, a stove ticking away in the corner, the smell of woodsmoke, and trees on every side. A cabin suits a couple of nights with a good book or a week of walking straight from the door.

We've gathered our favourite log cabins, from cosy hideaways deep in the forest to cabins on the shore of a loch. Most sleep two to four, and all of them are a long way from the nearest traffic light.
