Bagpipes on Broad Street, books in Dollar.

Shopping here is all about makers and independents. In Stirling's Old Town, a bagpipe maker makes Highland pipes and smallpipes by hand, and Spittal Street has a Christmas shop that stays open all year. King Street sells the work of local artists and makers, Murray Place has a whisky shop of rare malts and Scottish gins, and Upper Craigs has a bookshop café. Bridge of Allan has Scandinavian-style homewares, Callander has jewellery inspired by the sea and Dollar has a small bookshop strong on walking. The farm shops at Blair Drummond and Blairlogie are good for a picnic, so bring a cool bag.
