The Scottish Gantry
A specialist whisky, wine and spirits shop on Murray Place in Stirling, with rare malts, Scottish gins and monthly tastings.
The Scottish Gantry is a specialist drinks shop on Murray Place, in the middle of Stirling, behind a smart white shopfront with its name in gold on a dark fascia.
Inside, dark wooden shelves climb the walls, crowded with bottles, and glass cabinets hold the rarer and older whiskies. It is one of a small group of shops, with others in Milngavie and Edinburgh.
The heart of it is Scotch whisky, from everyday single malts to collectable and rare bottlings, but the range runs wide: Scottish gins, rum, vodka, liqueurs, craft beer and cider, and wines from around the world, with gifts and glassware, coffee and chocolates, and Cuban cigars. The staff know their stock and will help you choose a bottle to take home or a dram. The Gantry also runs a monthly whisky club with hosted tastings, some held at the Golden Lion down the road. It opens every day.
