Inside The Scott Hotel.

The Scott is a boutique hotel on the Pollock Estate, on the quiet edge of Edinburgh where Holyrood Park begins, within walking distance of the Old Town. It's a Victorian building of turrets and carved stone, with light falling through tall windows and a panelled hall with a wrought-iron stair. Each room is designed on its own, from the private Gatehouse to snug Petite Doubles, and they feel lived in rather than assembled. There's dining in the house, and the climb to Arthur's Seat starts at the door.
