Angus
Charcoal grills and Lunan Bay tasting menus.
Dinner in Angus is mostly a family affair. In the village of Inverkeilor near Lunan Bay, a restaurant with rooms has served tasting menus of the Scottish larder since 1986. In Arbroath you can choose between home-made Greek dishes on the High Street, Neapolitan pizza from an open kitchen on Applegate, and breakfast, tapas and wine on Keptie Street. In Montrose, a clubhouse of 1901 by the golf links now cooks steaks and burgers over charcoal, with an Australian lean. Book ahead for the tasting menu, and for weekends anywhere.
