Introduction
Based in rural Fife, luthier Rory Dowling has been hand-crafting stringed instruments since the early 2000’s and has built a reputation for creating distinctive, world-class pieces using honed skills and the finest materials. Gaelic for ‘thunder’, Taran is reflective of and inspired by the memories Rory has as a child roaming the landscape of outer Hebrides. Visits to the talented team at Taran are by appointment only.
