Welcome

In the courtyard of Logie Steading, SPÈ Atelier is the bright, calm shop of a Speyside candle maker.

Pale wooden shelves and tables hold candles in simple vessels, diffusers, essential oils, bath things and botanical mists, all handcrafted in Scotland from soy wax and natural scents.

SPÈ began in 2015 at Glenarder, a remote Speyside cottage, where its founder Yvonne made her first candles in a small black shed surrounded by moorland and wandering cows. The landscape shapes every scent, from wild botanicals to the Whisky and Smoke collection, and this autumn and winter brings Shelter in Nature, inspired by the changing Scottish seasons.

The shop opens every day from ten until five, and SPÈ also runs candle workshops and events. There is coffee at the steading's cafe, and a walk down to the River Findhorn.
