On Sunday 28 September 2025, the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon sets out from high ground near Fort Augustus and follows a point-to-point route alongside the loch’s southeast shore. Runners pass through Foyers, Inverfarigaig and Dores before reaching Inverness, finishing at Bught Park. Entry includes a technical t-shirt, medal, goody bag, coach transport, timed results and a festival-style celebration at the finish. The weekend also includes River Ness 10K, 5K, Corporate Challenges and a Wee Nessie children’s race. A Sports Expo, food stalls, live music and kids’ activities add to the welcoming Highland atmosphere. General entry is now sold out, though charity places remain available.
