The Camerons Tea Room

A timber tearoom and farm shop at Foyers on the quiet south side of Loch Ness, with home baking, soups, and Highland cattle in the fields outside.

On the quiet south side of Loch Ness, a short walk from the Falls of Foyers, a timber tearoom with its name painted across the gable looks out over a farm.

The Camerons is run by Morag and Ali Cameron.

Inside there are big windows, antlers hung as a chandelier and a wood-burning stove for cold days; outside, tables look over fields where the farm's pedigree Highland cattle graze, with calves in early summer, and deer too. The food is home-made and comforting: soups and sandwiches, cakes and traybakes, and tea poured from a pot into china cups. Afternoon teas can be booked, and a small farm shop sells local and Scottish produce.

It opens Wednesday to Sunday, and every day from July to September. Ring ahead for a table in summer.
