Kildonan Castle

Add to List

Introduction

Found on Arran’s southern coast, what remains of Kildonan Castle are the ruins of a former hunting lodge, once used by the Kings of Scotland. First built in the 13th century, the castle was named for Saint Donan, a Gaelic priest who many believe was buried somewhere on the island.
