Greenhall Country Cafe and Farm Shop
A family farm shop and café at High Blantyre selling its own home-reared Wagyu and Angus beef, with Saturday evening dinners.
Greenhall is a family farm at High Blantyre where the beef on the counter was born and raised in the fields outside.
The family bought their first breeding Wagyu cow in 2015 and turned their garage into Scotland's first dedicated Wagyu beef shop. The herd has grown since, alongside Angus cattle and Scottish lamb, and the meat is butchered by Pender's in Coatbridge and brought back as steaks, mince, sausages, pies and burgers. The shop also sells honey from hives on the farm, eggs, cheese, chutneys, Scottish beers and spirits, and plenty of gifts. The country café opened in 2019 and serves breakfast from 10am, including an all-day breakfast with the farm's own Wagyu sausages, then lunch from noon and cakes from the farm's bakery. Most Saturday nights there's an evening menu, from Wagyu steak nights to whisky and gin tastings, and those need booking. It's just off the road from East Kilbride, and the café and car park are wheelchair friendly.

The café recommends booking a table, though walk-ins are welcome when there is room; the Saturday evening dinners must be booked.
