Welcome

Duisdale House is a hotel on the Sleat peninsula in the south of Skye, a former Victorian mansion of grey stone with gables and turrets, set in gardens that look out over the Sound of Sleat to the mountains of Knoydart.

It is one of the Sonas Collection, with dark-papered lounges, fires and deep armchairs, a dining room under chandeliers, and bedrooms with window seats over the sea, each individually styled with nods to the owner's love of sailing.

The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes and cooks with local produce: Scottish breakfasts, lunch by the fire, and candlelit dinners, and on a fine evening you can sit out on the lawn above the water. There are rooms, lodges, suites and a cottage, and the whole house can be taken for a celebration. Sailors can pick up one of the hotel's sheltered moorings for a small fee, which is waived if they dine. Book rooms and tables on 01470 373737.
