Speyfest
A three-day festival of traditional and contemporary Celtic music in Fochabers each July, in a tented village on the playing fields.
Every July, the little Speyside village of Fochabers fills with fiddles.
Speyfest turns the playing fields on East Street into a tented village for three days of traditional and contemporary Celtic music, from big concerts and foot-stomping ceilidhs to quiet sessions in the pub.
It began in 1996 as a local event with a single tent and has grown from there. Alongside the Friday and Saturday concerts there is a family Sunday, a craft and food fair, a Celtic kirk service, a fun run, and free workshops around the village where anyone can try the fiddle or the bodhran.
The festival is fully licensed, with hot food and drink on site. The next Speyfest, the thirtieth, runs from 23 to 25 July 2027.

Next held 23 to 25 July 2027, the festival's 30th anniversary.
