Inveruglas Pyramid
Introduction
The An Ceann Mor is an interesting pyramid shaped viewpoint at Inveruglas on the banks of Loch Lomond. It was built as part of the Scottish Scenic Routes Project and was the final installation of four in the area. The 31 steps to the top provides a beautiful vista to enjoy panoramic views over Loch Lomond and the mountains in the background, including the mighty Ben Lomond and the Arrochar Alps. There is even a telescope at the top to gain a better look at some of the wildlife and boats in the area. To your right you will also notice the very distinctive Loch Sloy Hydro-Electric power station, which is the UK’s largest conventional hydroelectric power station. There is parking close-by and also a cafe which is open in the summer months.
