Greenknowe Tower
Introduction
Just west of Gordon is the Greenknowe Tower, a fortified tower house from the 16th century. Cared for by Historic Environment Scotland, the tower is believed to have marked the site for a previous castle, which some believe may have been the first Scottish castle built for Clan Gordon.
