On the corner of Gordon Street, in the stone flank of Glasgow Central Station, Gordon St Coffee roasts small batches of coffee under an old bronze fascia with its name in raised letters.

The window calls it the home of the Glasgow Roast, and inside, beyond a floor of patterned tiles, there is a brew bar, a counter of hot rolls with vegan options, and shelves of its own beans.

The Glasgow shop has been closed for now since the fire next to the station at Union Corner in March 2026, and the roasters are still waiting to get back into the building. In the meantime Gordon St Coffee pours at a pop-up at the Barras Market every Saturday and Sunday, and its Edinburgh roastery carries on roasting and sending out online orders. The coffee has not suffered: in 2026 the Glasgow Roast, the Edinburgh Roast and its house coffee all won Great Taste Awards. Check its site before you go.

Gordon St Coffee runs a pop-up at the Barras Market on Saturdays and Sundays, and its beans can be ordered online from the Edinburgh roastery, with free delivery on orders over £30. Check the website for news of the reopening.

In 2026 the Glasgow Roast, the Edinburgh Roast and the house coffee all won Great Taste Awards, in the same year the Glasgow roastery had to close.

Its 'Aye Sir I Can Boogie' coffee is a nod to the Tartan Army's favourite, made for Scotland's World Cup campaign, and a bag of it went as far as Boston.
