Welcome

On the long road up Glenshee, where the A93 climbs from Blairgowrie towards the pass and Braemar, a low brick building with a round painted sign and an old grey tractor parked outside is the place to stop.

Glenshee Café & Gift Shop sits on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, looking out over the neighbouring deer farm.

Inside, under the beams and skylights, it is several places at once. The café serves freshly prepared food, homemade bakes and hot drinks for warming up after a day on the hill, with choices for those with allergies, and dogs are welcome. The gift shop is full of local crafts, books and Glenshee keepsakes, and the farm shop sells local produce along with everyday essentials.

There is a tourist information point too, with maps and ideas for the glens around. It opens every day, from ten until four.
