Welcome

At the Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point of Scotland, a coffee house is built right into the clifftop.

Gallie Craig has a turf roof so that it sits into the land, and inside, a wall of glass looks out over the sea. The building has won awards and appeared on Grand Designs.

It is run by a local farming family, who serve home-cooked food and good coffee, and there is a gift shop. On a clear day the view takes in Luce Bay, the Isle of Man and Ireland, and there are tables outside on the terrace.

Gallie Craig opens from Saturday to Wednesday, closing on Thursdays and Fridays. The Mull of Galloway lighthouse stands just along the clifftop.
