Packed full of charm, character and history, Duff House is a Category A-listed building, currently under the care of Historic Environment Scotland and part of the National Galleries of Scotland. Built between 1735 and 1740 for William Duff of Braco – a Scottish landowner and politician – the house is constructed from ashlar, as per the designs of William Adam. It houses stunning collections of furniture and paintings, including Sir John Lavery’s oil painting ‘The Pergola’, and was even used as a camp for prisoners of war during World War II.
