Welcome

On North Street in Inverurie, a small white cottage with a goat painted on its sign is home to a specialty coffee house.

Dreamy Goat grew out of a love of specialty coffee, and it takes its coffee seriously without being fussy about it.

The beans come from roasters in Scotland and further afield, chosen with care and ethically sourced. There are espresso drinks of every kind, and a pour-over menu of single-origin coffees from around the world. Beans are for sale too, ground to order.

The food is fresh and unprocessed, and there is cake to go with the coffee. It opens from Wednesday to Sunday. The stone circle at East Aquhorthies and the hills of Bennachie are both an easy drive from the town.

Hidden Scotland, the magazine

Scotland, in print.

We want to show you the best that Scotland has to offer. The makers and the creatives, the enduring experiences, the evocative tales, the concealed corners. The roads less travelled that take you to places that matter. The adventures that gather you up and sweep you away. The blend of the wild and the artistic that makes Scotland what it is. We’d love for you to join us.
