Introduction
If you passed by the Ardjachie Stone, you could be forgiven for thinking it wasn’t significant. An unnamed and undecorated slab of sandstone, this boulder is believed to date back all the way to the Bronze Era and be an early example of a Class I Pictish Stone. It was discovered in the 1960s by local farmers and now marks the entrance to the Tain Museum.
