Welcome

On the coast of Angus, where the fields run to the edge of the cliffs above Lunan Bay, the Stirling family have farmed Arbikie for four generations.

In 2013 they built a distillery among the fields, to turn their own crops into spirits, from field to bottle on one farm.

The potatoes go into Tattie Bogle vodka, and the vodka is the base for Kirsty's Gin, named after Kirsty Black, the distiller who made it. Wheat and rye become whisky, laid down in the warehouses. The glass-walled visitor building looks out over the fields and the sea, with a cafe-bar serving food and cocktails.

Tours and tastings run through the day and are booked ahead.
