Welcome

If you have children with you in Stranraer, this is the place to head.

In the school holidays the park comes alive from midday until five, with boats to hire on the lake, rides on the miniature railway, and go-karts and mini cars to race round. Bring a picnic and a rug and make an afternoon of it while the children run about. On Saturday mornings the park belongs to the runners, who gather at half past nine for the weekly parkrun, a 5k in the park. Come back on a quiet day out of season too, for a stroll by the water, since the park is open all year round.
